What we use, why we use it, and your choices.
1. Who is responsible

2. Account eligibility and consent
RoomKiPhoto is a community for home design and real-room inspiration. To create or use an account, including a guest account, you must be 18 or older and agree to the core data use described in this notice. Age is self-declared; we do not ask for your date of birth or ID. If you selected under 18 by mistake, use “I selected this by mistake” on the account screen to correct your declaration, then review your consent choices. If data removal has already started or you need help, contact the Privacy Desk. You can also report an underage account to the Desk. Our homepage, blog and public information pages are available without an account.
3. Data we use
We use account and guest identifiers, sign-in details, contact and profile information, interests, business details, any location you provide, uploads and social activity. This supports sign-in, rooms, profiles, connections, support and safety. Photos and descriptions may go to Groq for content analysis; requested imports use the links and content you supply. Share only content you have permission to publish.
4. Optional analytics and advertising
Both are separate choices and off by default. Analytics measures usage through Google Analytics on the web and PostHog/Mixpanel in the app. Advertising measurement uses Meta. These tools may receive device/browser details, events and identifiers only after your relevant choice is saved. We do not send raw names or emails to them. Web Meta automatic matching, native advertising-ID collection, Firebase Analytics and GoatCounter are disabled. Necessary sign-in and security processing continue without optional consent.
5. Sharing and hosting
Published photos, posts and profile/business details are public; requested connections share relevant contact details. Providers include Firebase for sign-in, Vultr for hosting, Cloudflare R2/delivery for media, Groq for analysis, and the optional tools above. We may also disclose data for legal obligations, security or rights requests. The server is in Mumbai; other storage and processors may operate abroad. We cannot guarantee India-only processing or recall copies others make.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep data for its purpose while needed. Core withdrawal pauses ordinary processing; deletion starts restriction and erasure. Required processing and traffic records remain restricted for at least one year where required by law; legal holds may extend this. Media caches, backups and processor copies need separate cleanup or expiry. Accepted deletion does not mean every copy is already erased. Ask the Privacy Desk about retained data.
7. Your choices and rights
Use Privacy choices & rights to change or withdraw consent, export account data, or request access, correction, completion, updating, erasure, grievance review or nomination. A nomination request starts review, not a completed appointment. Rights remain available after core withdrawal. Turning an optional choice off stops local tracking immediately; account-wide changes need a successful save. We retain versioned consent records. A new notice may require renewed consent.
8. Requests and complaints
Use the request form or email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days and respond to grievances within 90 days. We may need information linking a request to your account; do not send passwords or ID documents through the form. For unresolved concerns, contact the Desk with your reference, then approach the Data Protection Board of India where applicable.
